Training

Training

All our windfarm engineers have the complete GWO certification and offshore medicals. Most are Competent Technicians (CT’s) and have completed WTSR for various customers. All others are progressing to this level as a minimum.

Being signed off as a CT allows the customers to best utilize their own staff for their own activities whilst Skyform Wind continues with theirs without the need for an escort.

Our engineers’ experience and knowledge come from previous roles and other relevant training courses including – LEEA / ALLMI / Palfinger / HMF / HIAB / PSSR / Latchways / BAFE / IRATA / CCNSG / Slinger Banksman / Confined Space / Advanced Rescue / In-house training courses etc.

Skyform Wind has invested significantly in its engineers and support their training needs on an ongoing basis. All engineers regardless of experience are continually assessed for training needs and programmed to upskill as required.

Our consistent approach to training our own teams allows Skyform Wind to offer a One Stop Shop to WTG requirements for our client’s assets.

Training for Clients:

Skyform Wind performs “Safe Use and Troubleshooting“ training on the Skyman TH250 Towerhoist. We offer this service to many of the OEM’s and Operators.

Within our Glasgow Head Office sits our Towerhoist for training but we also have site in Newcastle and have the capabilities to bring to requested areas like we did previously to Belfast, London, Grimsby, North Wales.

The course usually takes half a day and ensures those using the man-riding equipment on WTG’s are aware of the features of the product, how to perform safety checks, identify potential issues and deal with them.
